Senior Associate, Project Manager
Washington, DC corporate office, unless otherwise approved by management
Generally 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 9:00 a.m. to 5:00 p.m. Remote work on Mondays and Fridays, work from the office Tuesday-Thursday. Business necessities dictate work schedules and occasional nights, weekends and travel is required.
About the Role
The Senior Associate is a ‘people person,’ creative thinker, relationship builder, manager and problem solver. This position will be responsible for management and administration of a variety of project tasks and deliverables for multiple clients, including the National Institutes of Health (NIH) All of Us Research Program, in efforts to educate diverse communities about research and motivate them to participate with the goal of improving health outcomes. The Senior Associate reports to a Director or Senior Director.
Provide client and project support to Pyxis Partners Principal and Principal Investigator on NIH projects.
Coordinate large scale events and/or initiatives.
Assist team members in the implementation of projects, including planning, collaborating with project workstream leaders and coordinating project activities.
Organize and facilitate team meetings, contribute to project documentation, information collection, dissemination and reporting as needed.
Assist the team in developing process improvements and launching project management tools.
Develop and maintain project plans and manage specific workstreams for multiple clients.
Team lead on developing reporting templates to respond to client requirements and to document activity and impact Mentor team members. Promote positive interactions among staff and participate as an active team member. Serve in a “leadership by example” role.
Co-lead and manage internship/fellows program.
Perform other job-related duties as assigned.
Bachelor’s Degree (Master’s a plus) and at least 3 years of professional experience in project management or coordination. Experience in healthcare, government or non-profit organization a plus.
Proficiency with Google Suite, data visualization tools, and Microsoft Office products, including but not limited to MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel and SharePoint.
Capacity to think strategically to solve problems, improve or develop new processes and make decisions and recommendations to managers.
Excellent written and verbal communication and presentation skills.
Experience working seamlessly and successfully as part of a fast-paced, matrixed team where collaboration, communication and teamwork are essential.
Ability to deliver high-quality work products with limited oversight.
Ability to effectively communicate the Pyxis Partners value proposition, services, and processes.

Proven track record of meeting measurable goals to develop and sustain high-level stakeholder relationships.
