Senior Associate
Barbara Cassese is a dedicated public health researcher, writer, and advocate with a deep commitment to health. Barbara earned her master’s degree in Public Health at OHSU-PSU School of Public Health and has since combined her expertise in healthcare, research, and communications to create meaningful impact.
Her professional journey spans qualitative and quantitative research, clinical research coordination, medical writing, and community-based outreach. She has developed and led public health campaigns using creative platforms like Canva, bringing evidence-based messaging to life in ways that engage diverse audiences. Barbara has also published original work on health disparities and has proposed research addressing Black maternal mortality and autoimmune conditions in underrepresented populations.
With a background that bridges policy, research, advocacy, and creative communication, Barbara is passionate about addressing systemic inequities in healthcare and amplifying the voices of marginalized communities. She brings both rigor and empathy to her work, ensuring that data and storytelling move hand-in-hand toward lasting change.
Outside of her professional work, Barbara finds joy in reading, watercolor painting ,exploring new cities, and spending time outdoors with her dog and family. She values community, creativity, and connection and is grateful to contribute her skills to a company that shares her vision for equity and impact.
