Brandy Thibodeaux

Director

As a Director, Brandy leads the firm’s work with a national multicultural collective impact initiative, guiding strategy, impact measurement, and partnership development to advance health equity across diverse communities. Additionally, she supports the design and evaluation of stakeholder surveys, contributing to continuous program improvement and increased engagement. Previously, Brandy supported the firm’s work with the National Institutes of Health’s All of Us Research Program and the NIH Office of Science Policy. She also led the final year of the All of Us Research Scholars Program, managing recruitment, curriculum development, and day-to-day operations.


Prior to Pyxis, Brandy served as the senior program manager for Baylor College of Medicine’s All of Us Research Program engagement efforts, a program aimed at building the capacity of underrepresented researchers in the biomedical sciences. She collaborated with leadership on strategic planning and facilitated partnerships with academic institutions and community organizations to increase diversity in the biomedical workforce.


She spent time leading the Research and Evaluation team at her local United Way overseeing their Plan of Action for Community Transformation Grant Program, including grant selection, program evaluation, and impact reporting. Additionally, she spearheaded their Community Conversation Tour, a 40+ stop listening session across four parishes (counties) to gather community feedback and inform the organization’s new 10-year strategic plan.


Brandy’s program management experience spans higher education, social services, and local government, where she has successfully developed direct service programming and managed multimillion-dollar grant programs.This diverse background has equipped her with a comprehensive skill set in strategic planning, program evaluation, and grant management, further solidifying her commitment to driving impactful change within complex organizational landscapes. She leads with compassion, creating an environment where cross-functional teams feel supported, collaboration thrives, and stakeholders unite around shared goals.


Brandy is deeply passionate about work that uplifts underrepresented groups. She is a twice-trained DEI facilitator and a University of Pittsburgh Racial Equity Consciousness Institute (RECI) trainee. She is also an alum of Harwood’s Public Innovators Lab, where she honed her skills in taking a proactive, community-centered approach to solving local issues. Brandy holds a Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics from the University of Louisiana at Lafayette and a Master’s in Organizational Leadership from Our Lady of the Lake University. She is dedicated to giving back to her community through her volunteer work with organizations such as the Junior League of Houston and Women on Wardrobe. In her spare time, Brandy loves exploring Houston’s vibrant food scene or relaxing with a good book.
