Kayla Little
Intern
Kayla is a second year MPH Health Equity student at the University of Maryland with an anticipated graduation date of May 2024. Her areas of interest include health disparities, health equity, social and structural determinants of health, and adopting an interdisciplinary approach to create interventions that improve health outcomes for communities of color, the LGBTQIA+ community, and marginalized communities that are most impacted by health inequities. She believes the best way to approach this is by directly engaging with communities to elevate their voices, build relationships, and tailor health interventions to their needs. She was drawn to Pyxis Partners by their multifacetedness and passion for elevating the voices of those who are often unheard, and as a result, may have a mistrust of healthcare. In her free time, she loves to binge watch shows (currently watching Succession), explore new restaurants with her friends, go to museums, and play with her adorable cat, Chloe!
