Maheen Nawaz
Intern
Maheen graduated from George Washington University with a B.S. in Neuroscience on the pre-med track, and is currently pursuing a Master of Public Health (MPH) degree, with an expected graduation date of December 2024. During undergraduate studies, Maheen was involved in various research projects, including the NIH-funded EPGRAD program, focusing on Alzheimer's Disease and Related Dementias. Before coming to Pyxis Partners, Maheen worked as a Graduate Intern Analyst at the U.S. Government Accountability Office (GAO), contributing to projects within the Science, Technology Assessment, and Analytics team and providing data-driven policy recommendations.
Currently, Maheen serves as the GW@MPH department liaison in the Public Health Student Association, working to bridge communication between students and faculty. Maheen's experience spans clinical, research, and policy roles, with a passion for public health and policy that drives the pursuit of opportunities to make a meaningful impact, particularly in advocating for improved healthcare access and equity.
Outside of school and work, Maheen enjoys baking and spending time with her family.
